Spaghetti Clay

Clay has really hated the baby food jars that have any kind a tomato sauce in them. So today I decided that it was time to give him something with, oh what's the word, ah yes....... TASTE. He's had mac and cheese, so I figured we'd be safe with spaghetti. He loves spaghetti, and I can prove it.

I seriously am so sorry, with the move and everything things just got out of whack. I beg forgiveness all around (especially my sisters). Instead of writing a long, drawn out, and boring story about my little family's lives we'll go on a picture tour.

When we moved in I think that Colby and Jonathan were so bored that they decided to play a little game. This is what they came up with.

Long time no info (sorry)

So much has happened since I last wrote, we got back to Henderson and the new semester started for Colby. Clay and I spend lots of anxious days together waiting for daddy to get home. Usually when he does, he has to go and study so he sometimes isn't very fun. Clay is doing so good, he is growing and excelling wonderfully. I took him to the doctor today and he's in the 75% for height and 3% for weight, I promise I feed him and he sure can put it away. Clay does have two teeth, I don't know if everyone knew that or not. Labor day weekend, Alaina and Jonathan came down and we went to Fremont street. So much fun, except that poor OP was getting his vaccination for Typhoid so he wasn't feeling so hot. Clay went crazy for the lights he couldn't look at everything at the same time so I'm afraid that he got a little whiplash. He was so tired when they left, that even moving him didn't wake him up. Also we are moving this weekend, I know it's crazy but it is totally worth it. We'll be living in the Guest house of one of Colby's classmates. I'll be watching their daughter during the day. It's a great deal for them and for us. Now our address will actually be in Las Vegas. We are about 20 minutes north of the strip. We are so excited and can't wait to get moved in and get things going.

Keepin' it real in Kaysville

After we had spent the time in Logan, we headed down to Kaysville to continue our sweet Utah trip. On Friday Colby and I were able to go on a hot date to, where else, Lagoon. Mom watched to baby all day and we reverted back to junior high. You know running to every ride, giggling like girls, oh and the ever popular making out in line. Well we did all but the last one. There weren't that many people there so we were able to get on the rides relatively quickly. We got cotton candy, carmeled apples, and a Slurpee. Diet Shmiet. Anyway, on Saturday, we all went to the Zoo. It was so fun to watch Clay with the monkeys, because that was the only thing that he actually watched because it was moving. It was a pretty chill day at the zoo with the whole family. On Monday, we took a picnic up Ogden canyon to Causey Reservoir. Dad brought the canoe up so we were able to get out a few times and really enjoyed the cool weather and calm water. Colby and I took Clay out but didn't go very far because we didn't have a small enough life jacket for him. It was beautiful up there and - for Karyn anyway - the moon shown brightly (teenagers). Tuesday, Karyn and I went shopping and got pedicures. Wednesday was much of the same except that Colby was able to go up to Logan to go mountain bike riding with his dad. We had so much fun in Utah for the past two weeks, and just want everyone up there to know that we love and appreciate all of you. See you again in September! Oh yeah, a little update on Clay. He crawls on his hands and knees and pulls himself up to a stand on couches, tables, stairs, ect. Speaking of stairs, Clay loves his daddy and everytime Colby went up the stairs Clay was right behind. This is getting fun.

Livin' it up in Logan

Colby has finished his first semester at UNLV, and done so with flying colors. We are so proud of daddy, and love him very much. In celebration of the end of the semester, we escaped the heat and traveled up to Utah to spend 10 days of cool weather. Boy, were we in for some chilly weather, we didn't realize just how cold it would be. But it's still better then the upper 100's. We've started our vacation in Logan with Colby's family, we've had so much fun and will be sad to leave tomorrow. We got here on Saturday afternoon, and went to the fair! It was so fun to be back in Logan. Clay was getting a slight case of whiplash with everything that was going on. We saw the Young Ward booth and were amazed at the craftiness of Diana. Then we went and saw the animals and Clay loved that too. On Monday Colby, Clay, Op, Alaina and I all went to the Logan Aquatic Center to swim. Everyone got a sunburn except Clay, lucky little guy. Tuesday was amazing we were able to go to the Temple with Jonathan. He is preparing to go to Africa on his mission. We had a great experience in the temple. When we came out, the car tire was flat. Colby and Jonathan changed it quickly and we were back on the road. It wasn't our car it was the Olsen's. Today we went over to the farm and took some pictures of Clay as a farmer. So far we've had a great trip and are looking forward to the rest.

I was sure that Clay would never sit up. That he'd be walking before he sat up. He is always on the move and is getting into everything not nailed down. He loves to be in the kitchen under his mommy's feet. Every morning when I go to get him, he is standing waiting for me to pick him up. He also now reaches for you, it makes me feel so loved. Things are going good here in Vegas, but we can't wait to come home for a little while. I've been home sick lately, and am definently looking forward to next week.
